About Gramvousa Island
Gramvousa is A small island located northwest of Crete, known for its impressive Venetian fortress built in 16th century on the top of the hill.
During the Venetian domination, the fortress was used to control the sea routes and protect Crete from invaders and pirates.
In the 19th century, the island became a refuge for Cretan rebels who fought against the Ottoman rule.
Today ,visitors can explore the historic walls and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the endless blue sea.
About Balos
Balos Lagoon is considered one of the most exotic beaches in Greece and one of the most photographed locations in Crete.
Its shallow turquoise waters,white and pink sand and unique natural beauty create a tropical landscape unlike anywhere else in the Mediterranean. The area belongs to the protected Natura 2000 network and is home to rare flora and fauna species.
